Wisdom Behind Wudu and Salah
Scholars explain:
Wudu purifies body and sins.
Prayer purifies heart and soul.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“If a river flowed at your door and you bathed in it five times daily, would any dirt remain?”
They said: No.
He said: “That is like the five prayers — Allah removes sins through them.”
(Bukhari & Muslim)
Conclusion
Wudu and Salah are not merely rituals but acts of devotion taught directly by the Prophet ﷺ through revelation. By performing them exactly as authentically transmitted, a Muslim ensures their worship is accepted and aligned with divine guidance. Holding firmly to these practices connects believers to the same method of worship practiced by the Prophet and his companions over 1400 years ago.
